Kimpton Indianapolis (Odd Fellows Building)
IHG's Kimpton brand is converting Indianapolis's 1908 Odd Fellows tower — once the tallest building in Indiana — into a 167-room luxury boutique hotel.
Announced · Late 2026
Kimpton Indianapolis, a $110 million adaptive reuse of the 1908 Odd Fellows Building on Monument Circle, is under construction with a targeted fall 2026 opening. Silverstone Development's 167-room project, designed by Gensler, will be IHG's first Kimpton in the city, with a 15th-floor ballroom and rooftop bar inside Indiana's former tallest building.

The concept
Rubush & Hunter designed the 16-story neo-classical Odd Fellows Building in 1908 as the Grand Lodge for the Independent Order of Odd Fellows; clad in Bedford limestone, it was Indiana's tallest building at completion and later operated purely as office space — never as a hotel. Silverstone Development is now converting it into Kimpton's Indianapolis debut in a $110 million adaptive reuse, with Gensler overseeing a full gut-and-refit across every floor, including a 15th-floor ballroom and a rooftop bar. Gensler's team has described the project's core difficulty as threading modern building systems and life-safety and acoustic requirements through a structure whose column grids, window placements and floor elevations were never designed to Kimpton's room standards. Ground-floor plans call for a full-service restaurant reported in early coverage as an American-brasserie concept, though no restaurant name has been announced.
Dining & wellness
Plans include a full-service restaurant (an American-brasserie concept per early reporting, name not yet announced), a rooftop cocktail bar, and a 15th-floor ballroom for events — none of these venues has opened, and no chef or bar name has been confirmed.
