The concept Wisconsin-based owner HKS Holdings invested roughly $59 million to convert R.H. Hunt's 1927 neoclassical bank building into a 148-room hotel, working with HK Architects and Dutch East Design to preserve arched windows, masonry and marble details while layering in a contemporary interior. Concord Hospitality operates the property under Hilton's Tapestry Collection banner.

Pros:
Excellent service by everyone we met
Beautiful view (yes actually a Mountain View)
Valet was excellent (not at all slow)
Lots of elevators that worked great
Two bars (Iris and Vault) were incredible
Comfortable beds - firm and clearly new.

Cons:
-I’m concerned they have the original windows/haven’t been updated. There was SO much noise coming through! It was like we were on the street with no window between us and the road, and this was 9th floor! Bringing our own noise machine and earplugs helped.
-The Peloton requires a subscription, all you get is two sample classes. I actually have a subscription and it tried to sell me another one so I couldn’t log in. I think it’s weird how heavily they advertise the Pelotons…there is only one in the fitness center and it’s essentially unusable for classes.
-No turndown service during our two night stay. This works at some hotels but not here. We didn’t opt out, just didn’t happen.
Overall a good stay at a fair price. We would likely stay here again.
I wish I could give this hotel 5 stars. It definitely deserves 5 stars as a hotel! But that rooftop food was awful! Mind you I didn’t order anything worthy and good thing I didn’t!
I ordered fries , something so simple yet they ruined it for me! Why would anyone who cooks reheat fries? Microwaved fries at that! HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!!
It’s Fries 🤦🏻 fry them / cook them from scratch! Don’t just fry a bunch and leave it under a damn lamp to stay heated until someone orders. And then throw in the microwave if someone asks for well done. Which in my case, I asked for well done!
Besides that great views / chill vibes & a great hotel overall. Back to the drawing board for the kitchen! Let’s put some damn love to it smh
Such a cool hotel in a historical building that used to be a bank almost 100 years ago. Lobby is beautiful and the signature scent is so nice. Our room was modern and clean. The location is great. Plus, the Vault bar in the basement is so cool. Great bartenders and service in a huge bank vault!
On arrival the valet was great! Checking in was very easy they explained that they was a rooftop bar and speakeasy down in the basement which was a vault back when this building was a bank! Everyone was nice and helped in any way. The rooms were not large but wasn't too small for we wasn't going to spend a lot of time in the room anyway but they were clean and the bathroom and shower was great!
There are restaurants and bars literally across the street and also a DG in case you forgot any last minute items or need some adult beverages for a normal price . Highly recommend!
My stay at the Waymark Chattanooga was during a particularly difficult chapter of my life, and I cannot say enough about the kindness, compassion, and professionalism shown by the entire staff.
I found myself needing a safe and comfortable place to stay after leaving an unsafe living situation, and from the moment I arrived, every member of the team—from the front desk staff to the valet attendants—treated me with genuine care and respect. Their kindness may have seemed like part of their daily job, but during a time when I felt overwhelmed and uncertain, it made an incredible difference.
The hotel itself was beautiful, clean, and exceptionally comfortable. My room provided more than just a place to sleep—it gave me a sense of peace and security when I needed it most.
While the accommodations were excellent, what truly sets the Waymark apart is its people. The grace, warmth, and hospitality I experienced during my stay turned what could have been an even more difficult experience into one marked by kindness and comfort.
I am deeply grateful to the entire team and cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. I will absolutely be returning in the future, and I will always remember the compassion I was shown during a time when it mattered most!
