The concept The Tampa EDITION is a ground-up building developed as part of Water Street Tampa and designed by architecture firm Morris Adjmi with interiors by Roman & Williams, under hotelier Ian Schrager's EDITION concept: his attempt at reinventing the boutique-luxury hotel for a global brand. It opened in preview in September 2022 and fully in October 2022, giving Tampa its first Schrager property and one of the city's most design-forward luxury addresses.
Culinary direction from Michelin-starred chef John Fraser anchors the food and beverage program, and the hotel leans on EDITION's signature mix of art, music and nightlife-adjacent public spaces (Punch Room, Arts Club) rather than a conventional hotel-lobby template. At 202 keys it is mid-sized for the segment, positioning it as a design statement inside Water Street rather than a convention workhorse.
Dining & wellness Lilac, the signature restaurant helmed by chef John Fraser; Market at EDITION; Arts Club; Punch Room cocktail bar; a lobby bar; and a rooftop bar and terrace. The property also has a spa and fitness center and over 8,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
Our take The Roman & Williams interiors and a Michelin-starred kitchen make this genuinely arresting next to Water Street's more corporate towers, but at 202 rooms inside a master-planned convention district it reads as a global brand outpost more than a Tampa original: worth booking for the design and the food, not for a strong sense of local place.

I would give 6 ⭐️ if I could.
We stayed here for 15 year anniversary - belated date due to our children’s activities, but it was a nice getaway with my wife.
Many years have gone by and we’ve always stayed somewhere nice for our anniversary and you usually tell the people when you book your reservation it is your anniversary usually not much is made of it. Maybe a free dessert at best.
The Edition went above and beyond my greatest expectations. We were upgraded without having to ask, we were greeted in the lobby by Daria who escorted us to our room. There was a wonderful welcome gift and wine. They even printed a picture from our wedding and framed it for us (see pic).
We were so surprised and happy. We will 100% be back. What wonderful service! It reminded me of how service used to be many years ago.
My best friend and I celebrated our birthdays at The Tampa EDITION, and it was an unforgettable experience.
Although our room wasn’t ready when we arrived, the staff did everything they could to get us checked in as quickly as possible. I had traveled all the way from Washington state and was exhausted, so their kindness and attention meant a lot.
The staff was absolutely incredible. I can’t remember everyone’s names, but every single person we encountered was welcoming, friendly, and professional. Stella made sure our room was perfect. She surprised us with two birthday cakes, champagne, balloons, and a birthday card, which made our celebration feel incredibly special.
Anthony was wonderful, Victoria gave me an amazing facial, and Dasiana from the spa gave us excellent dinner recommendations. The spa itself was beautiful and one of the highlights of our stay.
Housekeeping came by twice a day, making sure our room was spotless and that we always had fresh towels. The hotel was definitely busy on Friday and Saturday nights since the downstairs area is open to the public, but even the security staff was friendly and helpful.
We had dinner at Lilac, and I can honestly say it was a 10 out of 10 experience. The speakeasy Punch room was the perfect finishing touch. I also appreciated that they offered delicious nonalcoholic options so everyone could enjoy the atmosphere.
The Tampa EDITION was absolutely worth the money, and we will definitely be back.
We chose The Tampa EDITION to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary, and it exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality. Every team member made us feel valued, cared for, and truly at home.
The hotel is absolutely STUNNING . The rooms are beautiful, the amenities are exceptional, and every space perfectly blends luxury with comfort. We were able to completely relax, reconnect, and enjoy every moment together.
A very special thank you to Stella from VIP Services for going above and beyond to make our stay so memorable. She made sure we were taken care of every step of the way, offered fantastic recommendations, and was so kind, knowledgeable, and welcoming. Thanks to her, we enjoyed the Pirate Water Taxi, which was such a fun and scenic way to experience downtown Tampa while giving you the option to hop on and off as you please to check out places along the riverwalk .
The dining was also very good at Market at EDITION and there several great restaurants within steps of the hotel that makes it so convenient. And the ambiance throughout the entire property is simply breathtaking.
The only thing we missed was the rooftop, which was closed for renovations during our visit—but that just gives us another reason to come back! We can't wait to see the newly renovated space on our next trip.

Our three-night stay at The Tampa EDITION was nothing short of exceptional! Most importantly, a huge thank you to Megan, who truly made this entire experience possible. From start to finish, she went above and beyond to ensure our stay was unforgettable, and we are so incredibly grateful.
Before we even arrived, Daria made us feel like VIPs. She made sure every detail was taken care of and that we had everything we needed. We were celebrating my husband's birthday, and she truly helped make the entire stay feel extra special.
The incredible service continued the moment we walked through the doors. Every single staff member greeted us with genuine warmth, and you could tell everyone truly enjoyed working there. Daria personally escorted us to our suite, and we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade that made our celebration even more memorable.

What truly made this stay special was the staff. Everyone from the valet team and bell staff to the front desk and every employee we met was incredibly friendly, caring, and genuinely welcoming. That level of hospitality is rare and is the main reason we’ll be back.
