The place
Palihouse occupies the second floor at 1509 W. Swann Avenue, above the On Swann restaurant, inside Hyde Park Village — the open-air shopping district at the center of Tampa's historic, tree-lined Hyde Park neighborhood.
The concept
Palihouse Hyde Park Village is Palisociety's 19th property and its first in Florida, and it gave Hyde Park Village its first hotel of any kind. Rather than a new tower, the 36 residentially-styled suites were built into existing upper-floor space within the village's mixed-use footprint, so the hotel functions as a genuinely new hospitality operation inside an established retail district. The brand's signature 'California collected' aesthetic — vintage-flea-market finds mixed with custom furniture — is adapted here with a Florida coastal and botanical inflection. Rooms come outfitted with details aimed at longer, residential-feeling stays: Smeg mini fridges, custom dining tables, gallery-style art walls, Diptyque bath amenities and Nespresso machines.
Dining & wellness
A European-style Lobby Bar and café serves breakfast, lunch and cocktails to guests; On Swann, the ground-floor restaurant the hotel sits above, is a separate but adjacent dining option within Hyde Park Village.
