The Boulevard Reno Hotel

Reno Pro Soccer's $350 million stadium district, The Boulevard, is advancing past the pitch stage — the dealership it replaces is demolished and permits are in the approval pipeline — but the 301-room hotel-casino component still has no brand, no operator, and no confirmed entitlements as of August 2026.

The place

The site sits at Kietzke Lane and East Peckham Lane in south-central Reno, near the city's convention center corridor and just west of I-580 — a commercial strip previously anchored by the now-demolished Jones West Ford dealership. It's a drive-to, arterial-road location rather than a downtown or resort-corridor address, chosen for its size (28 acres) and proximity to the existing Gaming Overlay district the developers are petitioning to extend onto the parcel.

The concept

Reno Pro Soccer unveiled the mixed-use concept in April 2026 alongside formal entitlement filings: Master Plan and Zoning Map amendments to extend the Convention Center area's Gaming Overlay onto the site, plus a conditional use permit covering a stadium with public plaza, a hotel with nonrestricted gaming, and construction near residentially zoned land. The plan pairs an $80 million, 6,000-seat USL stadium with a seven-story hotel-casino building holding the 301 rooms, a roughly 71,210-square-foot casino and convention component, and a 55,000-square-foot retail/dining strip nicknamed 'Electric Avenue.' Demolition of the former dealership site was completed in 2026, and by mid-year the project was still working through the required sign-offs — Reno Planning Commission, Reno City Council, the Regional Planning Commission, and the Reno Redevelopment Agency — with no confirmed final approval reported as of August 2026. Damonte has said groundbreaking will follow once approvals clear, targeting October or November 2026; the USL franchise's own season debut has already slipped from 2027 to 2028, an early sign that the hotel's opening timeline should be treated as provisional.

Dining & wellness

Nothing has been confirmed for the hotel itself. The wider district includes a 55,000-square-foot retail and dining zone ('Electric Avenue') and more than 20 commercial spaces, but no restaurant operators or concepts tied specifically to the hotel-casino building have been named.
