Moxy & Element Vancouver Downtown

A 30-storey dual-branded Moxy and Element tower is rising at 848-850 Seymour Street in downtown Vancouver's entertainment district, developed by Paul Y. Construction (B.C.) Ltd. and operated by Hotel Equities. The 392-room building — 280 Moxy rooms and 112 Element by Westin rooms — is targeted to open in Summer 2028, steps from Rogers Arena and BC Place.

The place

The tower rises at 848-850 Seymour Street in downtown Vancouver's entertainment district, close to BC Place, Rogers Arena, the Vancouver Convention Centre, CF Pacific Centre and Robson Square.

The concept

Paul Y. Construction (B.C.) Ltd. owns and is developing this 30-storey, dual-branded tower, with Hotel Equities selected as operator in September 2025 — the operator's second Moxy and third Element by Westin in its portfolio, and part of a Canadian footprint that now spans seven British Columbia hotels and 33 nationally. On the ground floor and podium, Moxy Hotels' 280 rooms center on the brand's signature Bar Moxy lobby bar, doubling as check-in, plus a social lounge and a hidden speakeasy. Higher up, Element by Westin's 112 rooms lean into longer stays with studios and suites, full kitchenettes, and a wellness and sustainability focus, capped by a sky lobby lounge and an open-air rooftop retreat. Paul Y. managing director Gary Tso has framed the pairing as "one skyline, two hotels, connected by Marriott."

Dining & wellness

Bar Moxy anchors the ground floor as both lobby bar and check-in desk, with a separate speakeasy bar on the podium level; Element's amenities lean toward in-room kitchenettes and a rooftop lounge rather than a standalone restaurant.
