Hotel Belmont Vancouver MGallery

Hotel Belmont Vancouver MGallery traces back to a 1912 building that spent decades as a budget chain hotel before Pacific Reach Properties' 2019 renovation revived it as an independent boutique property. It joined Accor's MGallery Hotel Collection on 1 December 2021 as the brand's first Canadian address, on Granville Street in the city's Entertainment District.

The concept

Designed by Vancouver firm Parr & Fee and built in 1912 as the Barron Hotel, the building was renamed the Belmont Hotel in 1925 and later declined through stints as the Nelson Place Hotel, the Dakota Hotel and eventually a Comfort Inn. Pacific Reach Properties bought it in 2017 and, working with CHIL Interior Design, carried out an extensive renovation reviving Edwardian-era details — wallpaper on the lobby ceiling, carpet run up the guest-corridor walls — reopening it in spring 2019 as the independent Hotel Belmont Vancouver. On 1 December 2021 the hotel joined Accor's MGallery Hotel Collection, becoming the brand's first Canadian property while Pacific Reach retained ownership under the new partnership.

The Living Room serves daily buffet breakfast; rooms include in-room Nespresso machines and Marshall-branded mini-fridges.
