We had a wonderful stay. The room was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained.
The location is excellent in a quiet area while still being close to everything, which made getting around Sevilla very easy and enjoyable.
What truly made the experience special was the staff. Everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely helpful.
They assisted us with organizing our itinerary and recommendations, which made our stay in Sevilla even more enjoyable and stress-free.
Highly recommended, and we would definitely stay here again.
I had an amazing stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Seville.
The location is excellent, within walking distance of all the main attractions, restaurants, and shops, making it incredibly convenient to explore the city on foot.
The staff were outstanding—friendly, welcoming, cheerful, and always willing to help with a smile. Their hospitality made my stay even more enjoyable.
The hotel was exceptionally clean, peaceful, and full of character. What I loved most was its authentic Sevillian atmosphere. Staying here felt like stepping back in time and living in one of Seville’s beautiful historic palaces. The building is over 150 years old and has been wonderfully preserved, offering a unique and memorable experience.
Thank you to the entire team for such a wonderful stay. I would definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit to Seville.
Really enjoyed our stay at Mercer residence.
Very friendly service and quick replies via online booking. Beautiful courtyard on entry. Large spacious apartment type rooms with kitchenette area. The location was quiet but easily walkable to bars/restaurants and the busyness of the city. We had no issues with sound and the area felt safe.
Room was decorated beautifully. Impeccably cleaned each day. Thank you!
Only thing that was missing was a long mirror for getting ready, and a tea towel for the kitchenette area.
Would definitely recommend.
I stayed in Room 206 and discovered ants and black insects throughout the accommodation, from the bedroom to the living area. After reporting the issue, I inspected four alternative rooms together with hotel staff and found the same type of insects in multiple rooms located on different floors.
On the first day, I was informed that if I decided to leave the hotel due to these conditions, the hotel would retain the cost of one or two nights and refund the remaining balance. Based on that understanding, I agreed to move to another room in order to determine whether the issue was isolated or more widespread.
Unfortunately, the following morning I woke up with swollen lips, skin irritation, and significant discomfort. Given my history of allergies and the health concerns this situation created, I no longer felt safe remaining at the property and was forced to check out early.
What I find most disappointing is that after I informed the hotel of my decision to leave for health and safety reasons, the position suddenly changed. Despite the earlier discussion regarding a partial refund, I was later informed that no refund would be provided and that the hotel would retain the entire amount of €1,620.
The reception staff were courteous, respectful, and cooperative throughout the process. I would like to make one exception in particular: Maria, who genuinely tried to assist me, accompanied me while inspecting alternative rooms, and treated me with professionalism and kindness at all times.
My disappointment is therefore not directed at the reception team, but at the management’s final decision. Retaining the full €1,620 despite the documented circumstances, the presence of insects observed in multiple rooms, and the health concerns I experienced while traveling alone, demonstrated a lack of fairness, responsibility, and compassion.
I paid €1,620 for safe and comfortable accommodation, not to spend my stay dealing with insects, anxiety, and concerns about my health. This is the first time in all my travels across Europe and the United States that I have encountered a situation like this, and it was deeply disappointing.
We booked the 55m² Suite category for 3 people, as both the hotel website and Booking.com clearly stated that the room accommodates 3 guests. We travelled as a family of 4 and planned to request 1 extra bed for the additional guest.
Because we arrived on different flights, only 2 of us checked in on the first night. The remaining family members arrived the following day, making a total of 4 guests for the rest of the stay.
When reception noticed there was an extra person, we completely understood there would be an additional charge and were prepared to pay for it. However, we were unexpectedly told we needed to pay for 2 extra people instead, which came to an additional €150 per night. This made very little sense to us, especially since the suite was already booked for 3 guests to begin with.
At that point, we asked whether it would simply be possible to book another room (just get another basic room and not the more premium suite that we are in) instead. Surprisingly, we were told the hotel could not accommodate us, despite rooms still appearing available online at the same time so we must pay the extra charge for 2 persons.
What made the experience especially disappointing was the way the situation was handled. Every conversation felt argumentative and unnecessarily difficult. Speaking with the lady manager “R” was extremely frustrating… rather than trying to help or offer solutions, the approach felt dismissive, rude, and entirely focused on charging more money without proper explanation.
We came here to enjoy our holiday, not spend our time going back and forth in stressful discussions with hotel management. Unfortunately, this situation ended up overshadowing what should have been a relaxing family trip.
It’s a shame because the property itself is genuinely beautiful. However, good hospitality is not only about the building. It’s also about how guests are treated when issues arise. I definitely DO NOT recommend staying here. There are for more beautiful properties and I’m sure more welcoming as well…. Also this hotel does not come with any facilities in the property. No pool, no gym.
Pissed, annoyed and never coming back. Thanks for ruining our holiday! :)
