What to do

The Pearl Street Mall is Boulder's obvious first stop, four blocks of shops, restaurants and buskers between 11th and 15th Streets. Chautauqua Park, at the base of the Flatirons, is the starting point for the Royal Arch and First/Second Flatiron trails, among the most popular hikes in the state. The Boulder Creek Path threads from the mountains through downtown and past the University of Colorado campus, usable on foot or by bike its entire length.
