The William Fell Baltimore, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

The William Fell Baltimore, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, opened in April 2025 as a renovation of the Admiral Fell Inn, in Fells Point. It has 80 rooms in a complex of seven adjoining buildings dating to the 18th century. Meyer Jabara Hotels owns and operates it. It was the company's third owned asset in Baltimore, its fifth managed property in Maryland and its first Tapestry Collection conversion.

The place

The hotel is at 888 South Broadway, on Fells Point Square, with views of the harbor. The upper rooms include private balconies over Thames Street.

The neighbourhood takes its name from William Fell, the first settler, who built the area's first colonial house and its first shipyard. The hotel is named for him.

The concept

The building was a Christian boardinghouse, a YMCA and a vinegar-bottling works before it opened as the Admiral Fell Inn in 1985. Before the conversion it was affiliated with Choice Hotels' Ascend brand.

Meyer Jabara announced a multimillion-dollar renovation in January 2025, without giving a figure. The brick exterior from the 1700s was kept. RD Jones and Associates redesigned the interior in a contemporary style, with paintings, sculpture and photography by local artists throughout, including glasswork by Joseph A. Corcoran and photographs by A. Aubrey Bodine.

Rooms include two-bed queen rooms, suites with separate sitting areas and rooms with private balconies. Justin Jabara, president of the company, called the hotel a crown jewel of its boutique portfolio.

Dining & wellness

The William Fell Tavern, led by executive chef Tom Collins, serves American cooking with Baltimore staples such as jumbo lump crab and Orange Crushes. A coffee bar sits on the first floor.

Other facilities are a fitness center with courtyard access and a fifth-floor boardroom and meeting space with a wraparound terrace. The banquet and meeting space totals 2,400 square feet.
