The Viv Hotel, Anaheim, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

Built from the ground up and opened in November 2020 as the Radisson Blu brand's West Coast debut, this 326-room tower near Disneyland was re-flagged in 2022 as The Viv Hotel under Marriott's boutique Tribute Portfolio collection. Two pools, rooftop dining, and a 12-story silhouette that was briefly Anaheim's tallest hotel set it apart from the convention-center giants nearby.

The place

The hotel stands at 1601 South Anaheim Boulevard, roughly four blocks from Disneyland, in the Anaheim Resort/Convention Center submarket. At its November 2020 opening, the 12-story tower was the tallest hotel in Anaheim.

The concept

This was a ground-up build, not a conversion: construction started in fall 2018 and the property opened its doors on November 16, 2020, as the West Coast's first Radisson Blu — a brand-new operation in a brand-new building. In August 2022 the owner (BPM Real Estate Group, managed by Crescent Hotels & Resorts) re-flagged the same 326-room tower as The Viv Hotel, Anaheim under Marriott's independent-leaning Tribute Portfolio collection, repositioning it as a boutique-style property rather than a mainstream upscale brand.

Dining & wellness

Three in-house F&B concepts serve the hotel: Top of the V, a 12th-floor rooftop restaurant and bar; Valencia's, the main restaurant; and Melody's Market for grab-and-go. Two pools split the audience — a rooftop, adults-only pool and bar with Disneyland views, and the family-oriented Oasis Pool with a firepit — alongside three meeting rooms.
