The concept Developed by Nexus Development Corporation as a ground-up, 12-storey tower, this was Cambria's 50th hotel to open and, at the time, its largest: part of an 11-opening year for the Choice Hotels-owned upscale brand. The design leans on an ocean-and-palm colour palette of corals and blues rather than a Disneyland-themed aesthetic, aimed at both leisure families and the convention crowd drawn by the adjacent Anaheim Convention Center.

Our take A waterpark of this scale is an unusual amenity for an upscale-tier brand hotel rather than a full resort, and it's the clearest reason to pick this property over a more central Anaheim Resort District address if a pool day matters as much as walking distance to the parks.

This was our second time staying here, and we will definitely be back. We love the location—it’s so close to Disneyland and just a short drive to the beach. The rooms are spacious, and having a full-size fridge is such a nice bonus. Our family also loves the pool area, especially the slides, and the secure underground parking garage is a huge plus. The breakfast is amazing, not just because of the food, but because of how well the space is set up. Even when there are a lot of people, it’s easy to get food, there’s plenty available, and there is lots of seating thanks to the large breakfast area. We did have a few issues with our room when we arrived, but the staff was quick, kind, and understanding, and they got us moved into a room that worked much better for us. Overall, we had a great stay and would absolutely stay here again.
The room was a little smaller than expected, but manageable when we were going to be at disney most of the time anyway. Breakfast was a nice spread, kids liked the water park. The room had a shower /tub combo and a second shower so it was nice to get both kids showered at once. Definitely not a super comfortable walk from the hotel to the toy story parking lot at the end of the day.
We had a room that faced the freeway and it was noticeable if the fan on the AC wasn't running but I couldn't hear much from the hallway traffic.
It's a nicely located hotel very close to the Disneyland. That is the best advantage of the hotel. Rooms are good, well maintained and has complimentary breakfast included. Unfortunately I do not have pictures of the Resort and I would like to mention that the swimming pool has long been closed for repairs/renovation so we we were unable enjoy the pool
Just a warning don't use a third party app for this resort because they over book. The lady at check in "kindly" offered to take off their parking fee and destination fee (which we did not know about) if we were willing to downgrade our room.
Asked to keep our original room and they said they no longer had that room available or any room available with a king bed. We've had this room booked through Expedia for over a month. I asked why they did not have the room since we've had it booked already, the front desk lady stated that 3rd party apps book the rooms even if the resort doesn't have the availability. So if that's a problem this resort has often, why would they not give their customers a courtesy call in advance and let them know the room is no longer available so different arrangements can be made? They tried to seem like they were doing us a favor by offering to take off their extra charges when the reality is we have no other option but to take the downgraded room. We noticed the women checking in next to us had the same issue and was offered 2 rooms. We were not offered the same solution and when we asked for it they stated they could do it but the rooms would not be on the same floor. Very inconvenient and not transparent. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
We had a great stay here at our recent family trip to Disneyland! The reception staff was very friendly and accommodating of receiving and holding a grocery and a stroller rental delivery at the front desk until we arrived. They were able to make sure that our whole party was on the same floor and they were able to do a timely delivery of a pack n play for our son. They also were able to hold our luggage between the check out time and the time we needed to leave for the airport on our last day which was a great service!
I guess there was a water pipe that was being repaired on our first night here that made it so we weren’t able to flush the toilet or shower on our first night but the hotel was very clear and upfront with us on communication and provided compensation for the inconvenience. It was not a deal breaker and was resolved by the next morning.
The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable and we loved the kitchenette suite option that gave us a fridge and a “living room” so the bedroom wasn’t as congested. We loved the free continental breakfast to help keep our costs down (although we did wish that bacon could have been on the menu) but we loved that they had Mickey Mouse waffles :) such a fun part for the kids.
The lobby is decorated for Disney and has some fun photo opportunities and souvenirs for purchase. The swimming pool was a good size and was heated so it was so relaxing after a long day at the parks. They do a nightly Disney movie screening that you can watch from the pool which was a fun touch.
It is about a 20-25 minute walk to Disneyland or about a 10 minute walk to the Toy Story parking lot with a shuttle. We did both and neither was a deal breaker for the time/distance it took to get from the hotel to Disney but it really isn’t close enough to go back and forth between the parks and the hotel so we just did stroller naps in the park for the kids as opposed to coming back to the rooms.
We had a great experience with our stay here and I would definitely recommend it for families on their Disneyland trips!
