The Jubilee
A Grade II-listed Edwardian gin palace, reborn as a Headrow address for longer stays.
Open · September 2025
Housed in a restored 1904 Grade II-listed former pub on The Headrow, The Jubilee is Supercity Aparthotels' first Leeds property and its fifth in the UK, opening in September 2025 with 63 kitchen-equipped suites behind an Edwardian Baroque facade. It turns one of the city's last surviving 'gin palaces' into a hotel operation for the first time.

The place
The Jubilee occupies a Grade II-listed corner building at 163-167 The Headrow, one of Leeds city centre's principal streets, a short walk from the Town Hall, the Art Gallery and the main retail district around Briggate.
The concept
Built in 1904 to a design by architect Thomas Winn, the building is an Edwardian Baroque landmark that traded for decades as the Jubilee Hotel public house, once known as one of Leeds' last surviving 'gin palaces'. Supercity Aparthotels restored the Grade II-listed building and opened it in September 2025 as The Jubilee, its fifth UK property and its first in Leeds, converting a building that had not operated as a hotel in recent memory into a 63-suite aparthotel — 23 of them studios — retaining period features such as the high ceilings and large windows behind the restored brick, terracotta and corner tower. The positioning is squarely extended-stay and independent-minded: every suite has its own kitchen, living and dining space, aimed at guests who want a residential base in the city centre rather than a conventional hotel room. Chairman Roger Walters described the intent as creating 'a space that feels rooted in the local area, while delivering the comfort, style and independence' expected of the brand — a fair summary of Supercity's wider UK strategy of restoring heritage buildings into self-catering city stays.
Dining & wellness
As an aparthotel, The Jubilee does not run a restaurant of its own; every suite has a fully equipped kitchen and a separate living/dining area, and select rooms offer air conditioning and step-free access. Further on-site amenities beyond the suites themselves are still to be confirmed.
