RIMAP Hospitality has broken ground on the Renaissance Ottawa Downtown, a 230-room hotel at 395 Slater Street that brings Marriott's Renaissance brand to the Canadian capital for the first time. Due to open in 2027, it occupies part of a 35-storey mixed-use tower and is the third downtown Marriott property from the Montreal-based operator.

The place
The hotel sits at 395 Slater Street on the corner of Bay Street, steps from the Lyon LRT station and a short walk to Parliament Hill, on one of the last developable lots in Ottawa's downtown core.
The concept
RIMAP Hospitality, the Montreal-based operator behind Ottawa's AC Hotel and Moxy properties, brings Renaissance to the capital for the first time inside a 35-storey mixed-use tower that also holds 270 rental apartments — its third Marriott-flagged hotel in the city in under three years.
Dining & wellness
The tower includes a restaurant, a bar, a pool, a gym and a yoga room, plus 6,000 square feet of meeting space.
