The place

The hotel occupies a new five-storey tower at 4837 Albion Road, built onto the long-running Rideau Carleton Raceway and Casino site in Ottawa's south-east Gloucester area, roughly 20 minutes from downtown and Parliament Hill.

The concept

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa is the first fully integrated Hard Rock property in Canada, a $350-million expansion designed by WATG that adds a brand-new 150-room hotel tower, with 22 luxury suites, to a casino and harness-racing site that previously had no hotel component at all. That makes it a genuinely new hotel operation rather than a rebrand of an existing property, even though the surrounding casino has operated on the site for decades.

The project bundles the hotel with an expanded 1,500-slot, 40-table casino, a Rock Shop, memorabilia displays and an 1,800-plus-seat Hard Rock Live venue, positioning it less as a standalone hotel and more as a destination entertainment resort: Ottawa's answer to the Hard Rock format seen in Atlantic City or Niagara Falls.

Dining & wellness

More than ten restaurants and bars sit across the resort, including the flagship Hard Rock Cafe and the Council Oak Steaks & Seafood steakhouse, alongside the Hard Rock Live theatre and Rock Shop retail concept.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience at Hard Rock Casino Ottawa, and a big part of that was thanks to our server, MicKenzie. From the moment she greeted us, she was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. MicKenzie went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed throughout the evening. She was incredibly helpful, kind, and had a wonderful sense of humor that kept us smiling all night. Her positive attitude and exceptional customer service truly elevated our experience and made our night memorable. It's rare to come across someone who combines professionalism with such a warm and engaging personality. MicKenzie made us feel valued as guests and is a great example of what outstanding hospitality looks like. We will definitely be returning to Hard Rock Casino Ottawa, and we would highly recommend it to others based on the excellent service we received. Thank you, MicKenzie, for making our evening so enjoyable!

We had our annual staff party at the Casino at The Joint venue in june 2026. From the planning stages through the event itself, their responsiveness, professionalism, and support were exceptional. Every member of their team we interacted with was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely committed to ensuring that everything ran smoothly. The venue was immaculate and beautifully set up, the food was delicious, and the service was outstanding throughout the evening. Thanks to the sound and technical support team, who ensured everything was tested and functioning perfectly before the event began. Thanks to their efforts, there were absolutely no hiccups during the evening. A special thank you as well to the bar staff. They were absolutely amazing, friendly, efficient, professional, and always serving our guests with a smile. Their energy and exceptional service contributed greatly to the positive atmosphere of the evening. Most importantly, our employees had an incredible time. We have received countless positive comments, with many people telling us it was the best staff party they have ever attended!! That is a testament to the wonderful experience their team helped create. thank you Hard Rock Hotel and Casino!

We enjoyed our stay while visiting family in Manotick. Hotel is very clean, room and bathroom are large and elegant. The staff were professional, helpful and friendly. Lots of free parking. Went to the Hard Rock restaurant for breakfast which was average but fair price. There unfortunately was an hour long fire alarm test the morning when we were preparing to leave which was the only negative. Pleasant stay overall.

Ive been to two different concerts here. Both times the staff were organized, lineups moved like clockwork, and didnt seem to disrupt the flow of the casino floor. Staff were polite, friendly and happy to help with questions/etc. The casino itself was bright, clean and everything seemed to be working and in good repair (*but I just walked through, I didnt play). The venue for concerts is great! Not too big. Will definitely come back!

Great hotel, very modern and new. Room was comfortable and the bathroom was laid out well. The food options were good. The fitness center was also above average. The location is convenient if you're catching a concert, though if you plan to do anything more downtown, it's a little drive. I would definitely stay here again.
