The concept Opened November 30, 1930 as the ninth and tallest hotel in Conrad Hilton's young chain, this Pueblo Revival Art Deco tower was purchased by El Paso businessman Paul Foster in 2008 and, apart from its original facade, fully restored and remodeled in a more than $78 million project.
Dining & wellness Ámbar Restaurante, serving wood-fired Mexican cuisine, and La Perla, a rooftop bar and restaurant, plus 7,600 sq ft of event space.
Our take One of the more architecturally significant Hilton-lineage restorations in Texas — a Pueblo Deco tower from the chain's earliest days is a genuinely rare survival, and the $78 million spend shows in the level of preservation.

Incredibly beautiful property! The staff is professional and helpful. Valet was efficient and never kept is waiting. The room was comfortable and luxurious. A bonus feature we loved was the remote window shades and blackout curtains. The shower was amazing with the renovations made to really make this truly upscale. The bed was perfectly comfortable with different pillows to suit your needs. We are definitely staying here again.
We needed a nervous system reset and I decided we should go to The Plaza Hotel Pioneer Park El Paso and swim in the pool (spoiler, there is no pool). I didn't even miss it. The hotel is incredible! I had fun learning about the history of the building. There are so many really beautiful touches and the art is wonderful. I paid less for two nights here than I paid at my last stay at the Marriott Staybridge Suites or something equally commercial, and because they were running a summer special, it even included a $100 dining credit, free valet parking and free breakfast (we paid extra for the buffet the one morning for Father's Day. No regrets). The service high touch like I really have not experienced, I think ever? Valet parking, bellhop service, really excellent service in the dining room. The breakfast buffet was mind-blowing, 10 stars no notes, the fitness center was also excellent (they have Pelotons, plural). The lack of pool didn't cross my mind once. Looking forward to staying here again.
Overall great experience at the Plaza Hotel! Staff was excellent and very accommodating. Location is great as you're downtown, close to a lot options for food and exploration. The Ambar and rooftop was great! Awesome sights from rooftop. I only gave 4-stars for the room because I needed a mini fridge for beverages and comforter on one of the beds was a little dirty. This is a must stay!
Outstanding stay. Samantha was the perfect personality to encounter after a 14 hour drive at the front desk. She gave me detailed parking instructions, beverage and dining options, and made us feel very special on the first night of our Honeymoon road trip. Let me also say that the hotel and rooms feel like you should be paying a lot more for the quality that they give. Thanks to the staff and facilities, this is absolutely our El Paso home for future trips. Outstanding.
The hotel and rooms are beautiful. I got a sweet on the 14th floor and dont do that. I can here everyone walking around and talking on the street from the 14th floor. Not to mention if there is a car that drives by that makes ANY noise youll here it. Talked to a few of the other people this morning and they said they where leaving because of the noise too. Oh FYI breakfast is not included buffet or ordering. But other then that great history hotel to stay at. If It wasn't for the noise this would be a great hotell to stay at just not 1411. Unless youre going to party until you pas out then by Al means get it.
