The Plaza Hotel Pioneer Park reopened in April 2020 after a $78 million restoration of a Pueblo Revival Art Deco tower that opened in 1930 as one of Conrad Hilton's first high-rise hotels. The 130-room hotel in downtown El Paso includes a wood-fired Mexican restaurant and a rooftop bar, La Perla.

The concept

Opened November 30, 1930 as the ninth and tallest hotel in Conrad Hilton's young chain, this Pueblo Revival Art Deco tower was purchased by El Paso businessman Paul Foster in 2008 and, apart from its original facade, fully restored and remodeled in a more than $78 million project.
