JMA Ventures reopened the former Hampton Inn & Suites Tahoe Truckee as Martis Valley Lodge on 1 July 2025, a 109-room upscale hotel under Hilton's Tapestry Collection, managed by Schulte Hospitality Group. The property sits between downtown Truckee and Northstar California Resort, with a new all-day restaurant, Trailhead Social, and an après-ski lounge.

The concept

Martis Valley Lodge opened on 1 July 2025 following a multi-million-dollar, top-to-bottom renovation of the former Hampton Inn & Suites Tahoe Truckee, developed by JMA Ventures and managed by Schulte Hospitality Group. The conversion moves the property out of Hilton's midscale Hampton flag and into the upscale Tapestry Collection, a genuine brand upgrade rather than a refresh, and adds it to the same Truckee/Lake Tahoe cluster of new openings already covered on this guide (The Mtn Scout Truckee, Common Pine).

Dining & wellness

The lodge features an all-day restaurant, Trailhead Social, serving local cuisine, alongside an après-ski lounge and a library-style social space. The property partners with regional vendors, including Drink Coffee Do Stuff and Truckee Brewing Company, for its food and beverage offering. Outdoor amenities include fire pits, a seasonal pool and a year-round hot tub.
