The concept
An adaptive reuse of the 1926 Flat Iron Building, modeled after New York's original flatiron skyscraper and once home to Asheville's first radio station, WWNC, broadcasting from the ninth floor. Rowhouse Architects led the renovation, and the design draws on the "Lost Generation" spirit of the 1920s for a present-day creative-class audience.
Dining & wellness
Luminosa, an Italian-Appalachian restaurant with a wood-burning oven and craft cocktail bar on the ground floor; a rooftop bar with Blue Ridge Mountain views; and a hidden basement speakeasy.
