Elysium Noosa Resort, MGallery Collection, is the former Sofitel Noosa Pacific Resort on Hastings Street, redesigned by the Melbourne studio Mitchell & Eades and relaunched under Accor's MGallery label. It has 175 rooms and suites, each with a balcony or terrace, plus the Italian restaurant Cibaria from Alessandro and Anna Pavoni.
The resort is on Hastings Street, Noosa's main beachfront strip, close to Main Beach. Depending on the room, the outlook is onto the river, the ocean, the pool or the village.
The concept
Accor announced in October 2025 that the Sofitel brand would disappear from Noosa. The change took the resort into MGallery and made it the sister property of Manly Pacific, which won UNESCO's Prix Versailles in 2024. General manager Mark Wilkinson called the project a landmark evolution of one of Noosa's most treasured hotels. Sources differ on the exact opening month, December 2025 or January 2026, and Gourmet Traveller named the overhaul its 2026 Hotel Transformation of the Year.
Principal Hayley Mitchell said the aim was to see Noosa through a European lens, in a Mediterranean-inspired style with stripes, rattan, premium linen and works by the West Australian artist Sarana Haeata.
The room line-up includes one- and two-bedroom suites and the oceanfront Elysium Suite with a private plunge pool, Prestige Suites over the pool towards Main Beach and Poolside Junior Suites with cabanas. Wellness Suites have a private magnesium mineral pool or terrace spa, an infrared sauna and yoga and Pilates equipment. Rooms on level six, the Elysium Floor, add bespoke mattresses, Espa amenities and a butler who can book tables and excursions.
Dining & wellness
Cibaria Noosa sits above Bar Capri, a street-front bar, and serves seafood, salumi, pasta and wood-fired steaks, with a kitchen counter. It is the first restaurant outside Sydney for the Pavonis. Riviera Bar and a swim-up pool bar complete the drinks list; the article on Gourmet Traveller calls it Noosa's only swim-up bar.
Aqua Spa has a steam room, a sauna and a mineral pool. The lagoon pool has low loungers and cabanas, and the beach is a short walk away.
