Element by Westin Albuquerque Uptown opened on 8 August 2024, the first hotel of the Element brand in New Mexico. It has 126 rooms and sits in the Uptown district.
Total Management Systems, a company that has operated in the state since 1980 and manages ten properties there, runs the hotel. Allen Sigmon Real Estate Group was its development partner.

Absolutely horrific customer service from the front desk clerk Ellie and her manager. Our 18 year old daughter had just drove 12 hours and was in need of a room for the night before she drove another 15 hours the next day to get to college. We booked the room weeks ago. My husband (who is an ambassador level Marriott client) had called earlier in the day to confirm our daughter was checking in and that she was under 21. They said that was fine since the reservation was in his name. When my daughter arrived she was met with Ellie who seemed very bothered she had to end her personal call to help someone. Immediate attitude. Told our daughter she could not stay there because she was under 21. Did not offer to try to find her a room or help her in any way. Just told her to leave and threatened that if she didn’t she would call the police. This is supposed to be a nice hotel and I expect better from its staff. I would strongly advise staying anywhere other than this hotel.
Stayed here for a 2-day work trip and had a really great experience. The hotel was very clean and felt well taken care of. I also appreciated the security, you need a key to access most areas, which made me feel a lot safer as woman and solo traveler.
The room layout was simple but really nice and modern, and everything was clean and comfortable. The rooftop bar and restaurant were definitely a highlight—the views were amazing.
The location is also super convenient, with tons of restaurants and stores nearby, which made everything easy during my stay.
Staff were friendly and easy to work with, which made the stay even better. I’d definitely stay here again.
I absolutely loved this place!!! The suites are amazing and roomy!! The beds are soft and comfortable. The TV was big enough for the room and easy to see. Usually you can hear everything from outside but the noise level was almost nothing. The employee that helped me was kind and very informative. It smelled wonderful in the hotel. Now, let me tell you about the breakfast that they serve!! It was amazing and tasted great!!! They served a bacon and sausage breakfast taco on a wheat tortilla with a cucumber, avocado, tomato and feta salad. There were potatoes and salsa to go with it. A yogurt station, cereal station, bread station and coffee station. It was very impressive. If you're wondering about safety, well, I had a trailer attached to my truck and it was perfectly fine. This hotel is located behind Lewis College/University. This is an excellent place to stay!!!
This is my new favorite hotel brand! The rooms are so comfy, clean and the staff was great. We noticed a lot of shops close by as well as a Target 🎯. My husband and I enjoyed having dessert on the rooftop bar. Our complimentary breakfast included a scrambled egg bowl with spinach and goat cheese, I don't know about you but that's first for me! Great hotel

Alexandra was so helpful with the planning and really took care of us. It's been a couple of months since then and I went with a friend for drinks. Still a very chill vibe. The drinks were still pretty good. Definitely a place I enjoy.
