ARRIVE Albuquerque opened in February 2025 in the former Downtowner Motor Inn, a mid-century lodge built in 1965 on Central Avenue, which is also the city's stretch of Route 66. It has 137 rooms and is the fifth hotel of the ARRIVE brand, after Austin, Wilmington in North Carolina, Memphis and Palm Springs.
Palisociety acquired the ARRIVE brand in 2021. Avi Brosh, its founder, led the design with ARRIVE's own team, the first time the brand has done a property entirely in-house.
The hotel stands at 717 Central Avenue NW, on the edge of downtown Albuquerque, and looks across to Robinson Park. Central Avenue follows the old Route 66 alignment through the city, so the building sits on the road that gave a 1965 motor inn its first customers.
The concept
The renovation kept what could be kept. Two original domes still crown the lobby ceiling, now hung with modern pendant lights, and the floor is red blaze quarry tile. Around them Brosh used a desert palette with a 1970s accent, which the brand calls fun, bold and modern, a contemporary reading of Southwest style rather than a replica of it.
Outside, a large mural by the local artist Nani Chacon covers the building.
All 137 rooms were reimagined, in the same desert palette.
Dining & wellness
The food and drink side is called DWTNR, a cocktail bar, restaurant and swim club. It pairs Americana comfort food with Pan Asian and American classics, and the programme mixes high and low, east and west in its own description. A seasonal pool shaped like the Zia symbol of New Mexico serves tropical drinks and light bites in warm months.
A fitness centre completes the amenities. Opening reports from 2024 had described the restaurant only as a Pan-American concept, so the name and menu were settled late.
