The place

The site sits southeast of 10th and Harney Streets, on the western edge of Omaha's Mercantile District between the Brickline apartments and the Embassy Suites Old Market. It places guests at the edge of the Old Market's restaurants and shops, a short walk from downtown.

The concept

Drury Hotels, the family-owned Missouri group, plans an eight-storey new build of about $54 million under its upscale Drury Plaza banner. Reports first cited 201 rooms; later coverage puts the count at 210. The project includes an attached 160-space parking garage, a restaurant and bar open to the public, and a breakfast area reserved for hotel guests.

Omaha City Council designated the site an Enhanced Employment Area, a tax mechanism that let the project proceed. Construction is slated to start in August 2026, with completion targeted for February 2028. The developer expects to create about 65 permanent jobs.

Dining & wellness

A third-party restaurant and bar open to the public is planned, plus a breakfast area for guests only; no operator has been named.
