Compass Hotel by Margaritaville Naples

Compass Hotel by Margaritaville Naples reopened in March 2024 inside a fully converted former Staybridge Suites in the Park Shore neighborhood — the brand's first all-suite conversion. Its 119 suites and tiki-casual 5 o'Clock Somewhere Bar & Grill sit a few minutes from Venetian Village's waterfront shops.

The place

4805 Tamiami Trail North, in Naples' Park Shore neighborhood — a Gulf-and-bay residential district anchored by Venetian Village's waterfront shops and restaurants, close to Waterside Shops and Artis-Naples, a short shuttle from the beach rather than directly on it.

The concept

TPI Hospitality bought the 25-year-old Staybridge Suites Naples-Gulf Coast, an IHG extended-stay property, and converted it starting in mid-2023 into the first all-suite hotel in the Compass by Margaritaville collection, reopening in March 2024. It's a conversion rather than a ground-up build: new island-themed architectural elements went in, the rooftop cupola and dormers came off, and the façade and roof were recolored, but the underlying suite layouts — open-concept studios up to one- and two-bedroom units with full kitchens — carry over from the building's extended-stay past. That makes it a genuine fit for families and longer-stay leisure travelers who want Margaritaville's laid-back branding without a full resort footprint or price tag.

Dining & wellness

5 o'Clock Somewhere Bar & Grill is the signature Margaritaville-branded restaurant and bar. A daily complimentary hot breakfast, an outdoor pool with fire tables and live entertainment, a 24/7 fitness center, a cornhole and backyard games area and a beach shuttle round out the amenities; there is no spa.
