The concept The first project between Hyatt and Dallas-based HALL Group, and Thompson Hotels' entry into Palm Springs. Guest rooms are bungalow-inspired with private balconies; a separate adults-only enclave, Upper Stories, adds 42 rooms including 5 suites with a private pool and lounge. A custom art collection was sourced by Shore Art Advisory.
Dining & wellness Lola Rose Grand Mezze, a Levantine-inspired restaurant from executive chef Quentin Garcia feeding out to a skyline pool with San Jacinto Mountains views; a HALL Napa Valley Tasting Room pouring HALL, WALT and BACA wines; and Bar Issi, a ground-floor Mediterranean concept from Melissa and Matt Hermer's Boujis Group.
Our take Three distinct food-and-beverage concepts plus a separate adults-only tower is an ambitious opening lineup: the HALL Group wine-industry connection gives the tasting room a credibility most hotel wine bars don't have.

This is a very nice property. We have stayed at other Thompson properties, but this was far superior. The grounds are immaculate, the layout was great. The room was nice and large. Had a balcony on the street side. (The sun was hot and did not allow us to sit in the afternoon. Once the sun set, it was nice.) The room was close to the pool and restaurant. Room 212. The pool area is a great relaxing area. If you do not want the sun, stay on the north side. It is a very nice hotel. Side note: Nikko the parking attendant/ bellman was great.
The Thompson Palm Springs is the absolute pinnacle of subtle, old-money luxury in the desert. We were there celebrating our four-year anniversary, and it couldn't have been more memorable. We spent our days at the Upper Stories’ resort-style pool, soaking in the sun and making wonderful new friends. The layout and energy of the pool area are unmatched. Our accommodations were equally stunning; the bathroom was an absolute dream, and the private balcony offered insanely good views of the surrounding desert and mountains.

They completely went above and beyond to ensure our anniversary felt spectacular, executing flawless service with a genuine, personal touch. The Thompson Palm Springs has officially won our hearts, and we will be back every single year to celebrate our anniversary. My partner and I stayed in the Upper Stories where we were granted our request for a Mountain View facing the steeper San Jacinto mountains on the West side. It was definitely worth it and special thanks to Concierge Verne for looking out on this request. One drawback: no bar service at the pool for Upper Stories (no plan to bring it back anytime soon either according to my convo with bar at Lola Rose) so we basically only did the Main pool which was the most spectacular and scenic experience, but get there early like 9-10 am early to save seats Thu-Sat. Sun was more mellow and seats seemed to open up again around 2-3 the other days. Everything from the DJs on Saturday and Sunday to the bartenders and servers and manager Maurice was just top notch. Big props to Abel who took such great care of us over our 5 day stay. Really the service here was like icing on the cake and the entire stay exceeded our expectations. If you’re torn between Upper Stories and the main area, the Main resort has rooms with great views too just not as many to my knowledge. If you can get a view in the main area, take the energy and better access to main pool and restaurants where you’ll actually hang out unless you just want totally quiet do Upper Stories. Pool there is great if you plan to be sober or want to carry Togo cups back and forth from the Lola Rose bar just a short walking distance away. Oh and food btw, really damn good. Nice selection of pool side bites including salads. Lola Rose was great for quick pre-drinks and healthy apps before dinner and Bar Issi downstairs has the best happy hour. Great walkability to all the best restaurants on the upper strip. Highly recommend and we can’t wait to come back!
This was our second stay at the Thompson Palm Springs and we are already looking forward to returning again. We visited for our anniversary and were delighted that the hotel sent us a bottle of bubbles and bites to celebrate.
The hotel gym is one of the best I have ever seen, including elliptical, a stair stepper, great machines, weight sets, yoga mats etc.
The rooms are well appointed and large and the TVs have chrome cast which makes it easy to stream shows from our devices.
Luis the bartender at the hotel pool makes a great margarita.
The valet team was helpful and charged our EV for us.
The location is fantastic, easy walking to the heart of Palm Springs.
My wife & I had the pleasure of staying at The Thompson for her first visit to Palm Springs.
Tamilyn at the front desk warmly greeted us with a big smile as we walked in.
She was incredibly nice, friendly, funny, and very helpful!
She recommended having a drink at the rooftop restaurant & bar to watch the sunset, which we thoroughly enjoyed.
Marcos, the bartender was very nice & thoughtful.
He made our sunset evening very nice. We were so happy to stay here for her first trip.
The property is lovely & the staff are fantastic!
We are planning to return next year.
