The Milsom opened on 2 May 2023 at 24 Milsom Street, Bath. It was the 77th venue of the Metropolitan Pub Company, a bar and restaurant with nine hotel rooms. The Grade II listed Georgian building had been a bank and later a Loch Fyne restaurant.

Milsom Street is one of Bath's main shopping streets, in the Georgian centre. The Roman Baths are about five minutes away on foot and Thermae Bath Spa about six.
The concept
The Milsom is a pub-company venue with rooms, not a stand-alone hotel. The nine bedrooms are described by the operator as using classic fabrics, polished chrome, plush velvet and a warm colour palette, with distinctive en-suites. In the toilets, coral pink fish-scale tiles are used in the ladies and olive green in the gents.
The Metropolitan Pub Company worked on the refit with the NANU Group, and the opening followed its recent growth: three Glasgow venues acquired and gastropubs opened in Poole and Cambridge.
Dining & wellness
The ground-floor menu is built on modern classics: starters and sharing dishes, then mains such as tiger prawn linguine and aged Ayrshire pork cutlet, alongside fish and chips and burgers. The bar lists international wines and signature cocktails, among them the Dolce Vita Spritz and the Flower Market Sour, made with Hendrick's gin, lychee liqueur, Darjeeling and jasmine syrup.
