The concept No.15 Bath by GuestHouse occupies three Grade I-listed Georgian townhouses on Great Pulteney Street, a building that had never previously operated as a hotel. It opened in December 2016 as No.15 Great Pulteney Hotel and Spa, a 36-room conversion of the townhouses' original floorplan. The Guest brothers acquired the property in 2019 and relaunched it in 2021 under a new name, No.15 Bath, as the debut hotel of GuestHouse, their independent, family-run collection. Original designer Martin Hulbert - also behind Chewton Glen, The Grove and Coworth Park - returned for the relaunch, reworking the 36 individually designed rooms and the Coach House wing around Bath's Georgian history, with a lighter, more playful register than the original fit-out.
Dining & wellness The Bar at No.15 serves all-day dining, from breakfast through specialty coffee to an evening cocktail list, while The Spa at No.15 runs treatment rooms and a relaxation lounge on the lower ground floor.
Our take A straightforward case of a good building finding the right operator: the Georgian shell was always going to make a striking hotel, and GuestHouse's 2021 relaunch reads as a genuine refinement rather than a cosmetic rebrand, swapping the property's earlier, more formal spa-hotel identity for something closer to a stylish townhouse stay.

We booked our wedding at the hotel on a whim without even visiting beforehand, which felt like a huge leap of faith at the time. Looking back, it was one of the best decisions we made. From the very beginning, Lucy made the entire planning process seamless and stress-free. She was always on hand to answer questions, offer guidance, and ensure every detail came together exactly as we wanted.
When we arrived, the hotel exceeded every expectation. The venue is stunning, the rooms are beautifully appointed, and the atmosphere throughout our stay was warm, welcoming, and relaxed. Our room was especially lovely and provided the perfect space to unwind and get ready on the morning of the wedding, making the whole experience feel even more special.
A heartfelt thank you to Lucy and the entire team for making our celebrations so memorable. Everyone went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly, and both we and our guests felt genuinely cared for from start to finish. All of our guests commented on how beautiful the hotel was and how friendly, attentive, and welcoming the staff were throughout their stay.
The children absolutely loved it too and the pantry was a fabulous touch.
What stood out most was how hard everyone worked behind the scenes to make everything perfect while making it all look effortless. Their care, professionalism, and attention to detail allowed us to relax, enjoy every moment, and create memories that we’ll treasure forever.
We cannot wait to return ❤️
Truly such an incredible hotel and just the loveliest of staff! The moment you walked in the door, you found you instantly relaxed and felt you were staying at your home away from home.
We stayed with the No15 Team for 4 nights to celebrate my husbands 40th and we cannot tell you enough just how brilliant the hotel was.
Even before our stay, the team went above and beyond to help me with organising surprises for my husband to celebrate his birthday and making recommendations on where to visit and what to see. I would like to say a particular thanks to Ellen and Agnes from the reception team.
The location is truly second to none. Being on Great Pulteney Street puts you just minutes from the heart of the city centre but also in a beautiful, peacefully picturesque location that meant there was no noise from the city life going on just minutes down the road.
We stayed in a larger guest room and golly, what a gorgeous room! The bathroom was equally just as gorgeous and offered both a fantastic waterfall shower as well as a huge bath to pick from.
Housekeeping were brilliant at popping in and out throughout our stay to ensure we were well stocked with fresh towels and that our room was spotlessly clean.
We made use of the restaurant each morning for breakfast where we found there to be such a brilliant range of choices each morning, that we tried a different delicious dish each day.
We also sat and unwound in the bar at the end of the day, either with just a drink or with some snacks as well and used the range of board games the hotel had on offer for guests to use.
The spa is simply a must if you visit; we booked the Copper Room Treatment for Two and the moment we walked into the room, we were wowed by the setup. The massages we had post copper bath were heavenly and truly helped to work out any extra tension so we could completely relax.
We booked the car park right after booking with the team - something you absolutely need to do, as there are only limited spaces - which was secure and behind the hotel and just so handy to have.
We cannot recommend No.15 enough, it is our new home from home in Bath and worth every penny! We will most definitely be staying here in future whenever we visit Bath.
Didn't stay at the hotel, but was here with my partner for the spa. This is our 3rd session for the copper bath treatment, and as per usual it was absolutely divine. Facilities are fabulous, a short walk from where we were staying. Our therapists were lovely and talked us through everything. Treatments themselves were outstanding; head shoulder and back massage for both of us and facial for me and a bespoke arm and hand treatment for my other half. Everything was classy from start to finish and always a reason why we come back whenever we come to Bath. We will be back again. Thank you for making the experience as relaxing and calm as always.
We had a wonderful stay at Number 15 and could not have chosen a better place to celebrate a special milestone.
The upgrade to a larger room was a thoughtful touch and much appreciated. The house itself is beautifully presented, combining character and comfort in equal measure.
Breakfast was excellent, with high-quality ingredients and plenty of choice, while the service throughout our stay was warm, attentive and effortlessly professional.
A memorable stay in Bath, and somewhere we will happily return to.
Tony Kossykh-Bearman · 5/5 Just came in for an Ease Your Tension Treatment….never thought that I could feel worse after a treatment.
I have even emailed but still waiting to hear back.
Might have just been unlucky with the person who did my treatment but it just didn’t feel right from the start.
She kept talking with a raised voice even in the treatment room, which I can understand can be people’s way of speaking, but isn’t this a place of calm? I am supposed to be coming in for a treatment to unwind and this didn’t help.
I reiterated so so many times that the tension was in my neck and that I wanted an even amount of time on each area (I also wrote this on the form I got asked to fill out) repeatedly I said this. But she also seemed annoyed by my requests even though she also was the one who asked. Regardless of that she ended up spending all of 30minutes on my back…leaving the main areas I wanted treated more to be more like rushed.
Also, I was really looking forward to the foot scrub but it actually hurt! She kept on rubbing so forcefully on the arch of my foot (making it super sore and uncomfortable) instead of focussing on the sole, toes and ankle - which I’d think would be the main points. Foot massage left much to be desired, the little she did on my neck was actually nice but then left me insanely tense due to the scalp massage not being what I would have hoped.
I didn’t feel comfortable speaking up during the session as the masseuse made me feel as if I couldn’t and I was going to mention at reception but too many people were around.
I appreciate this may have been an off day but I came here to disconnect and decompress but instead I came out upset and still tense….
