Parade Hotel opens in September 2026 inside three Grade I listed Georgian townhouses on Bath's North Parade, reopened by Providence Hotels as a 49-room boutique hotel after a top-to-bottom restoration. The property replaces the budget-oriented Parade Park Hotel that previously occupied the same building, adding a Courtyard Spa and the 1748 Bar & Lounge, with a full restaurant to follow in a second phase.

The place
8-10 North Parade, in Bath's city centre, a short walk from Parade Gardens and the River Avon.
The concept
The building — three connected Georgian townhouses built around 1740 by architect John Wood the Elder — has been a lodging house since the 1750s, later trading as the Grosvenor Hotel and Sheriff's Hotel before the two merged in 1997. It most recently operated as the budget-oriented Parade Park Hotel until Providence Hotels acquired and fully restored it, rebranding it Parade Hotel. The reopening, originally targeted for late spring 2026, was pushed back to September after a fire risk assessment found the Grade I listed building needed upgraded vertical means of escape and revised internal doors — work Providence Hotels has carried out in phases to protect the historic fabric.
Dining & wellness
The ground-floor 1748 Bar & Lounge, with floor-to-ceiling sash windows and wood panelling, serves regional dishes built around Somerset charcuterie and artisanal cheeses. The Courtyard Spa adds a sauna, cold plunge, hot tub, cold drench and outdoor shower, with three of the 49 rooms opening directly onto it. A standalone restaurant is planned for a second phase, targeted for the end of 2026.
