The place
The hotel sits on Church Street in central Inverness, close to the Victorian Market, Inverness Cathedral and Inverness Castle, and a short walk from the River Ness itself despite the hotel's name. The address puts guests in the compact historic core of the Highland capital rather than a purpose-built hotel district.
The concept
Axcel Hospitality converted a former Department for Work and Pensions office block on Church Street into a new 76-room hotel, opened under Radisson Hotel Group's Radisson Individuals brand — a soft-branding arrangement that lets independently developed properties keep their own identity while drawing on Radisson's distribution and loyalty programme. The July 2021 opening made it the first Radisson Individuals property in Scotland. The building had never operated as a hotel before the conversion, and the project carries no caveats in the sourcing behind this entry.
Dining & wellness
The Restaurant, Bar & Lounge occupies the ground floor, serving a Scottish breakfast buffet daily from 7 to 10am and dinner Monday to Saturday from 5 to 9pm. The adjoining bar serves cocktails and a selection of local whisky.
