The place

The building sits at 10 Huntly Street on the banks of the River Ness in central Inverness, next to the adjoining building that Royal British Legion Scotland continues to occupy and which is unaffected by the hotel plan.

The concept

Sweeney Group's roughly £1 million project converts the former Royal British Legion club building — previously home to two bars and a function room, and sold off by the Legion years earlier — into a 19-room boutique hotel with ancillary accommodation. No operating brand or hotel name has been announced; the name used here follows this site's practice of using the project's address for unbranded projects. A building warrant for the works has been lodged, and the developer has said it hoped to have the hotel operating by early summer.

Dining & wellness

NC — no restaurant, bar or spa programme has been announced beyond the building's conversion into guest rooms.
