The place
The hotel sits on Glebe Street on the banks of the River Ness, overlooking the Kessock Bridge and within walking distance of Eden Court Theatre and the city centre's bars and restaurants.
The concept
Vastint Hospitality developed the hotel from the ground up on the site of the former Glebe Street swimming pool, demolished in 1999 and left vacant for more than 20 years before construction began. Its October 2022 opening brought Marriott's design-led AC Hotels brand to Scotland for the first time, and at 191 rooms it is the largest hotel in Inverness. Hotel Co 51 operates the property under a management agreement with Vastint.
Dining & wellness
AC Kitchen serves a European-style breakfast built on local ingredients and a dinner menu of tapas-style dishes, in a 60-seat dining room with river views and a riverside terrace seating a further 30. The AC Lounge serves hand-crafted cocktails, including a signature gin and tonic.
