Our take The height and river-view positioning are the real draw — a straightforward brand refresh of an existing 1969 tower rather than a design-led reinvention, but few hotels in York can match the vantage point.

I'd booked a single room and was initially put in a very unusually small room (described as a "cosy" room on the booking) with a high bed I could hardly get into. The Aircon didn't work so I was transferred into a really lovely much bigger room with perfect Aircon.
No wardrobes as such in either room, a kind of hanger arrangement type thing instead. It's a few years since I stayed in a Radisson so not sure if this is normal. The "cosy" room had the smallest shower I've ever seen. The staff were all very nice and helpful at reception, at the bar and at breakfast.
I really enjoyed my stay at the Radisson York during a recent business trip for a conference. The experience was positive across the board, and my colleagues and I all had a comfortable and pleasant stay.
The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help, which made a great impression. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable space to relax after a busy day.
The only minor issue I encountered was a slightly unpleasant smell coming from the drains in my room. Aside from that, everything else was very good.
Overall, a great stay and a hotel I would happily return to for future visits.

We probably had one of the best rooms with a river view and balcony so this review may be biased. We paid extra for the room but well worth it. Very comfortable king sized bed. Amazing breakfast, pleasant helpful staff at reception and breakfast. Very close to the centre of York. Secure undercover parking charged extra but worth every penny.
We returned home this afternoon from the Radisson Hotel in York after a really lovely two nights. We were on the 4th floor with a view of the river and the Minster beyond. The room was immaculately clean, no dust around not even in corners (I looked!). The bed was enormous, a little firm for my liking although others would find it perfect. We were impressed with the safety of the room, an emergency pull switch in the bedroom and another in the bathroom. We both felt safe getting in and out of the shower due to firm, solid handles to grip, not scared of falling at all. Well done for that Radisson! And it was very quiet. Dining room was sparkling clean, breakfast excellent and staff pleasant and helpful. We were parked in the Radisson car park which seemed to be safe and secure £20 per night, not bad for city centre parking and we were happy to pay. All in all a happy and stress free two days.
