The concept
The building straddles Victorian and Regency architecture, and the hotel spreads across three townhouses restyled by GuestHouse, a group that runs several hotels in English towns. It has 32 rooms and suites.
Every room has a Crosley record player and access to a vinyl library. The Hideout Suite has a secret door. A pantry with snacks, baked goods, drinks and fruit is open to guests around the clock at no charge.
The spa is called Field Trip Spa. Its signature treatment takes place in a copper cove, and it offers couples treatments.
Dining & wellness
Pearly Cow is the restaurant: the hotel describes locally sourced seafood served on ice and cuts of meat cooked over an open flame.
A Terrace Bar with sea views opens in summer. On the ground floor, a bar, lounge, games room and courtyard serve cocktails and small plates.
