The place

Stands on Old Hall Street in Liverpool's commercial district, on the site of the former Liverpool Echo and Daily Post newspaper building, close to the Princes Dock waterfront.

The concept

INNSiDE Liverpool was Meliá's first outing of its youthful lifestyle brand in the city, built after a multi-year redevelopment of the former newspaper office site that preserved some elements of the original building. At 18 storeys it introduced an open-plan 'Living Lounge' lobby that blurs work and social space, a format the brand uses to target both business travellers and independent leisure guests. The hotel's headline feature is its partnership with television chef Gino D'Acampo, whose 200-cover restaurant anchors the ground floor — an unusually high-profile culinary tie-in for a commercial district rather than the waterfront tourist strip. It opened its doors on 13 September 2021.

Dining & wellness

The Gino D'Acampo Old Hall Street restaurant offers all-day Italian dining, and the hotel's 18th-floor 360 Sky Bar serves cocktails with panoramic views over the docks; a 24-hour gym and event space round out the facilities.
