Imperial Hotel Breckenridge

Imperial Hotel Breckenridge is a 36-key luxury hotel planned at the base of Peak 8 as the centrepiece of the Finale master plan, developed by Breckenridge Grand Vacations founder Mike Dudick and announced as a future member of The Leading Hotels of the World. Architecture is by DTJ Design with interiors by Styleworks, with a partial opening in December 2027 and full completion targeted for the winter of 2029.

The place

At the base of Peak 8, the historic western flank of Breckenridge Ski Resort, within the Finale master plan and close enough to town to ski down from the highest chairlift in North America and walk to Main Street.

The concept

The hotel is the centrepiece of Finale, a roughly $500 million master plan on what its promoters describe as the last developable land at the Peak 8 base area, led by Mike Dudick, founder and chief executive of Breckenridge Grand Vacations. It is marketed as Imperial Hotel & Private Residences, since the 36 hotel keys sit alongside a residential programme: thirteen to sixteen whole-ownership Imperial Chalets of two to five bedrooms, from about 2,400 to 3,986 square feet and priced from $4.19 million at launch, plus fractional residences. Architecture is by DTJ Design with interiors by the Colorado studio Styleworks, and the hotel is announced as a future member of The Leading Hotels of the World. Delivery is phased: a partial opening in December 2027 and full completion in the winter of 2029. Guests and owners are promised access to more than 70,000 square feet of amenities shared with the neighbouring Grand Colorado. A lawsuit brought by a neighbouring homeowners' association was reported in the Colorado press in 2025-2026, which is worth keeping in mind for the timeline.

Dining & wellness

Two venues are announced: Still on the Hill, an all-day alpine steakhouse built around a partnership with a local distillery, and Toasted Oak, a lobby bar and lounge for cocktails, apres-ski and live music. Nothing else about the spa or wellness offer has been published beyond the shared amenity count.
