Christchurch City Hotel

Christchurch City Hotel opened in July 2021 as a new-build, 46-room upscale hotel directly across from Cathedral Square, in the heart of the rebuilt city centre. Its rooftop restaurant and bar, The One, has become as much of a draw as the rooms themselves.

The concept

Christchurch City Hotel opened in July 2021 as a new-build, 46-room property in the heart of the post-earthquake CBD, marketed from the outset as 'a brand new hotel in the heart of Christchurch.' Rooms range from Executive Studios to Executive Suites with contemporary fit-outs, air conditioning, work desks and smart TVs with streaming services. The hotel later added a rooftop restaurant and bar, The One, positioned as a skyline dining destination looking out over the rebuilt city centre.

Dining & wellness

The One Restaurant and Bar occupies the rooftop, serving French-inspired dishes built around local artisan produce and Canterbury wines, with skyline views over the city centre.
