The concept
The property operated for 27 years as the Equator Resort, a male-only, clothing-optional guesthouse, until it closed on January 8, 2025. Days later it reopened under new ownership — management has said the corporation itself was not sold, but new shareholders redirected its plans — as Bishop Key West, a general-audience, adults-only property across the same five historic Conch-style buildings, built between 1913 and 1933 according to the operator.
