AC Hotel Milwaukee Downtown, a 156-room, $50-54 million new build from NCG Hospitality, held a ceremonial groundbreaking in the Deer District in August 2026, targeting a late 2027 opening. The project was originally planned as a Moxy hotel before switching to the AC Hotel by Marriott flag in March 2026, ahead of any opening under either brand.

The place

430 W. State Street, on part of the former Bradley Center site in Milwaukee's Deer District, south of Fiserv Forum and next to the Landmark Credit Union Live concert venue.

The concept

Middleton-based NCG Hospitality and the Milwaukee Bucks held a ceremonial groundbreaking on August 5, 2026 for this $50-54 million, seven-story new build, financed in part with New Market Tax Credits. The project was originally pre-marketed as a Moxy hotel before NCG switched the flag to AC Hotel by Marriott in March 2026 — a pre-opening branding change, not a rebrand of a hotel that had already opened. It joins The Trade, Autograph Collection, NCG's earlier Deer District hotel two blocks north; together the two properties are expected to add 363 guest rooms to support demand from the expanded Baird Center and Fiserv Forum event traffic.

Dining & wellness

NC — no restaurant, bar or spa program has been announced for the property.
