The overall stay and experience was nice, staff was friendly, however, they need to do a better job with cleaning the rooms. We arrived and the first room we checked in to had little toilet paper crumbs and popcorn crumbs on the non carpet floor. Not a lot, but visible. We proceed to notifying the front desk staff and was then given a different room. The 2nd room had a clean floor but had a few pieces of hair in the bathtub and the cleaning lady forgot to throw out the toilet paper wrapper and just left it on the shelf. The sofa was waterproof materials, which should be easy to clean, but still had removable stains (I was able to rub it off with wet wipes). We reported the above back to the front desk, but all we got was "thank you for letting us know, we will notify the manager". Noone followed up with us. Spoke with another staff at check out a few days later, again, just "we are sorry for your experience". And no mention of compensation/action. A little disappointed.
We stayed at the hotel for a night, as I always do, I check the cleanliness of the beds. In both beds I saw quite a lot of hair, some unknown crumbs and stains. I was quite surprised because the hotel looked a more luxurious than the ones I usually book but the cleanliness didn't really reflect it.
We were told on the website that the breakfast was free. It was NOT free. I've been to cheaper hotels with an included breakfast and clean bedsheets, sad to say I'm disappointed.
But lastly, our waiter for breakfast was very nice! I didn't get her name but she made our experience a little bit better!
Stayed overnight March 27th for a mother daughter trip. The service we recieved yesterday when checking in was exceptional. The gentleman was friendly and very personable. We asked for an early check in. We had to wait an hour but he made it happen! All the staff we encountered were great! While we waited for our room we had a late lunch and the food and service was great. Our room was a little dated and could use a few small repairs. Cleaning staff could do a bit better as the air exchange vent and fire extinguishers were very dusty. More attention to detail would be beneficial in this department. Was not the dirtiest room I have ever seen but certainly was not the cleanest. We also booked a massage and use of the pools which was wonderful. Quick side note if you are staying at the hotel you get $10.00 off the use of the pools and free use of the bathrobes in the spa.
Some room maintenance is needed. Friends had the chandelier in their room held by only one screw. Our shower curtain was missing. Upon arrival there was about a cup of water in the ice box, meaning it had not been cleaned. Obvious water damage to ceiling on the 4th floor (6 floor hotel) leaving the ceiling crumbly and stained. There were children staying possibly due to a wedding and were playing games in the halls all weekend until about 11 p.m. when security finally resolved the situation. Our keys stopped working on day 2. Front desk stated it was due to the key being near a cell phone but the two keys were held separately and another man complained his keys stopped work at the same time. I think the card system or front desk clerk forgot to extend the card assignment. Our pillows were all lumpy and horrible, impacting sleep for both of us. I recommend bringing your own if possible. When I had originally booked two months ago, I called the front desk and asked about a spa package to reduce costs and they said there was none. Nothing on the website made a spa package deal more affordable than a third party website booking, so I did that. On check-in the front desk attendant said that I should book their spa deal directly through the front desk and she gave us $10 off the cost of the spa per day, which I appreciated, but had previously inquired about. The parking lot,m and entrance are accessible, but bathrooms in the rooms are very small with no hand grips, so I fear there is an accessibility issue for the bathrooms for some people. Overall the hotel is still nice, but some urgent maintenance is needed to preserve the impression.
I recently spent time at Château Cartier Hotel & Resort, and it’s a great option if you’re looking for a well-rounded, low-effort getaway close to the city.
The spa services were a highlight—I had a facial that was both relaxing and professionally done, and my skin felt noticeably refreshed afterward. They offer a range of treatments, including massages and facials, making it easy to spend a full day there.
Dining at KaTO Restaurant was also a standout. The atmosphere is polished, the service is attentive, and the food—especially the sushi—is excellent.
Overall, the property offers a strong combination of relaxation and quality dining in one place. If you’re looking for a convenient, well-rounded escape without leaving the area, this is a solid choice.
