I am so happy we booked this resort, we almost didn't because of the mix review and wow we would've missed out. Our stay at Royalton Reserve Paraiso de la Bonita was one of the best resort experiences we've ever had. We wanted a vacation where we could relax, enjoy great food, and take advantage of the resort's amenities, and we got so much more than we expected. From the moment we arrived until the day we checked out, the customer service was exceptional. Every member of the staff went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. A special thank you to Norma, who was an amazing guide throughout our stay. She assisted us with everything we needed, answered all of our questions, and provided excellent recommendations that made our trip even more enjoyable. A special shout-out as well to Isabel, Cándido, Adrian, and Landy, who made sure we always had delicious food and refreshing drinks. Their attentiveness, kindness, and friendly service truly made us feel welcomed and cared for. The food was outstanding. Both the chefs and the waitstaff regularly stopped by our table to make sure we were enjoying every breakfast, lunch, and dinner. That level of care and attention really stood out and made every meal feel special. From day one, my wife and I agreed that this wouldn't be our only visit. We will definitely be returning to Royalton Reserve Paraiso de la Bonita and hope to make it our annual getaway. We highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing, luxurious vacation with exceptional service.
An absolutely exceptional experience from beginning to end. Paraíso de la Bonita truly lives up to its name. The property is stunning, with breathtaking views, elegant design, and an atmosphere of total tranquility.
The service was impeccable, every member of the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for. The rooms are beautiful, spacious, and thoughtfully designed, while the food and dining experiences were simply outstanding.
If you are looking for luxury, privacy, and personalized service in the Riviera Maya, this resort is second to none. We cannot wait to return.
Highly recommended!
Cristian Rico Martinez · 5/5 Amazing staff!!! Visited during off season and enjoyed the staff to guest ratio. Dining experience was repetitive after day 4 but overall the quality was good to excellent. This facility is on the cusp of going from good/great to amazing with a greater attention to the finer details. Our biggest compliment was the staff. Bonvoy recently acquired this facility and are still in the process of the transition although the average guest wouldn't see it. We'll be back.
My mom and I recently stayed at El Paraíso de la Bonita, and I honestly can’t say enough good things about our experience.
One of my favorite things about the property is how intimate it feels. Unlike many large all-inclusive properties, this one has a completely different atmosphere. It was originally designed as a hacienda, and you can still feel that throughout the property. It feels warm, peaceful, and welcoming, making it the perfect place to truly disconnect and relax.
Another thing I loved was how connected you feel to nature. Between the beautiful landscaping and the wildlife throughout the property, it felt like such a special place. I even made friends with Cosmo, the resident peacock, and Sofia, the beautiful scarlet macaw, who quickly became some of my favorite parts of our stay.
What made the biggest impression on me, though, was the people. Every associate made us feel genuinely welcome. I especially loved how they would place their hand over their heart while speaking to us and say things like, “Welcome home.” It wasn’t just something they said. You could actually feel that they meant it, and it made us feel at home from the moment we arrived.
I also have to mention the food because it completely changed my expectations of an all-inclusive experience. Instead of large buffets, the restaurants offer thoughtfully curated menus made with fresh, natural ingredients. Dining at Qin Qin and K’uhul felt like a fine dining experience, with beautifully prepared dishes and smaller portions that allowed us to try a variety of incredible flavors.
The highlight of our stay was Chef Javier at Qin Qin. I have allergies to fish, shellfish, tree nuts, and seeds, so traveling can make dining stressful. Once Chef Javier learned about my allergies, he immediately found ways to make me feel included instead of limited. He created a personalized seven-course dinner just for my mom and me, designed entirely around what I could safely eat.
Some of my favorite dishes were his Tom Yum-inspired soup, sushi made with sweet plantain, avocado nigiri, and several dishes showcasing molecular gastronomy techniques that made the experience even more unique. What meant the most to me wasn’t just how delicious the food was. It was the time and care he took to create an experience specifically for me. Anyone with food allergies knows how easy it is to feel like an inconvenience, but Chef Javier made me feel special. That is something I’ll remember forever, and to me, that’s what true hospitality is all about.
I also want to recognize German, the restaurant manager, who was incredibly thoughtful and proactive in making sure we always had everything we needed. Thank you as well to Enrique and Kenny for taking such great care of us throughout our meals, and to Catherine, who gave us a beautiful handmade origami butterfly on our last night. It was such a thoughtful gesture and the perfect way to end our stay.
Thank you to everyone at El Paraíso de la Bonita for making us feel so cared for. We left with amazing memories, new friendships, and a place we’ll definitely return to.
We came for my wife's 40th birthday celebration and everyone there made it an unforgettable trip.
We stayed in the new reserve section of the resort in the "Chairman Two Bedroom Suite Ocean Front Infinity & Private Pool Outdoor Shower" and it was hands down the best room I have ever stayed in. We shared the suite with my sister-in-law and her husband - it was more than spacious to accommodate us. The private pool was huge and heated so the temperature was always perfect, and it had a great view overlooking reserve area and the ocean, which made for some stunning sunrises.
We were assigned two butlers (Fernando and Enrique) to help us with anything at any time of the day - their service went above and beyond any expectations and they both helped make the trip perfect. They made sure to personalize our stay to help us celebrate - from arranging a private cooking experience with the head chef Octavio to helping us book anything at the resort. They were also able to help us book some golf games at some incredible courses, and even we're able to help get some cigars that we couldn't find in the resort. They were so much more than just "butlers" - they genuinely cared about everything to make sure our trip was exceptional.
The food was incredible at all of the restaurants - The head chef Octavio arranged for a special birthday dinner for us that featured traditional food that wasn't on the menu (which was incredible). All of the staff was very welcoming and friendly - especially the waiter Roger, who made sure we received special dishes and drinks that always made our meals even better!
We went to the spa a couple of times for massages which were absolutely incredible - Ariana made sure our experience there was perfect.
I cannot recommend this resort enough - the Reserve building was the pinnacle of luxury, and we're already looking for an excuse to book another trip in the future!
