White Elephant Resorts, long associated with Nantucket and Palm Beach, opened its first mountain property in Aspen's West End in June 2026. The 54-key hotel pairs EMBARC-designed architecture with an extensive original art collection and the brand's LoLa 41° restaurant concept.

The place
The 54-key hotel occupies the corner of Main Street and Garmisch Street in Aspen's West End, within walking distance of the Aspen Institute, Harris Hall and the Benedict Music Tent.
The concept
White Elephant Resorts' first property outside Nantucket and Palm Beach, designed by Boston firm EMBARC as a contemporary reading of Aspen's Victorian architectural heritage. More than 125 original artworks, including pieces by Alex Katz and Robert Peterson, are woven through public spaces and guest rooms, curated in partnership with the Anderson Ranch Arts Center.
Dining & wellness
The signature restaurant LoLa 41° serves seafood and sushi alongside the 41 Below speakeasy lounge, with complimentary access to the Base State Longevity recovery studio.
