The Aspen Institute, the Aspen Art Museum and the Wheeler Opera House are all near enough to reach on foot, as are the shops and restaurants of downtown. The four ski areas around Aspen are reached from the same town.
The concept Post Company designed the interiors. The hotel describes its rooms as residential in feel, seen through Japanese and Scandinavian design, with a minimal approach meant to let guests leave the day behind. That is a deliberate break with the heavier, more ornate look of many Aspen ski hotels.
The hotel also runs an online boutique selling accessories and home goods.
Dining & wellness Petit Trois is the restaurant and bar in the lobby, with an indoor room and a heated terrace open all year. A separate cafe serves breakfast and lunch with Sightglass coffee. Petit Familia is the bar on the roof terrace.
Our take MOLLIE suits travellers who want a quiet room and a walkable base more than a slopeside address. Rates from about 250 dollars are a starting point rather than a ceiling in a resort town.

We stayed four nights over the Memorial Day holiday. Everything at the Mollie was wonderful. The staff were all friendly and inviting and were able to meet or exceed any request we had. Special thanks to Maria Jose and Magnos for all their help pointing us to the best things to do on our trip. The staff here really helped us make the most out of our time in Aspen. The rooms are comfortable and quiet, though the water pressure in the rain show heads is definitely on the lower end. The lounge and hot tub in the roof are a great place to have a cocktail and soak up the sun. The location of the hotel is within walking distance to everything the city has to offer. We will definitely be back.
We had the most amazing stay at the Mollie for our “mini moon.” We were graciously upgraded to one of their nicest rooms in the hotel with a massive private terrace on the rooftop. The staff is unbelievably kind and courteous — some of the best customer service we’ve experienced. Huge shout out to Ben and Juan in particular for going above & beyond for us. The hotel is modern, clean, spacious and in an excellent location. This is the only hotel we’ll stay at from now on when we’re in Aspen!
I made an honest mistake and booked the wrong check-in date through American Express Travel for a stay that was over $1,200 per night. I fully own that error—people make mistakes.
What disappointed me was the response from a hotel that positions itself as a luxury property. In the days before my arrival, the hotel contacted me multiple times for my ID, payment authorization, and other pre-arrival details. Yet after I never checked in on my scheduled arrival date, no one called, texted, or emailed to ask if I was still planning to arrive. A simple courtesy call would have immediately caught the mistake.
When I arrived the following day, the front desk kindly credited one unused night. The manager also indicated there may be a possibility of refunding the second unused night if American Express contacted the hotel. Based on that conversation, I left believing the matter was still being considered. I could not extend my stay because they were fully booked the following evening. However, within about 15 minutes, American Express called on my behalf and was told the request was denied.
I've experienced more understanding and flexibility from far less expensive and less prestigious hotels when honest mistakes have happened. Policies are important, but luxury hospitality is about exceptional service, empathy, and discretion when situations like this arise. Unfortunately, this experience didn't reflect the level of hospitality I expected from a property at this price point. Limelight Aspen nearby was able to accommodate me quickly and gave much better service, highly recommend a stay there.
MOLLIE is without a doubt our favorite hotel when we come to Aspen. We have stayed here about 4-5 times now, and they’re always consistent, kind, and and all around enjoyable stay!
This particular stay, we were in town for Food&Wine Classic and the AC went out. Despite the heat, full house of guests, and juggling everything else, the team worked tirelessly to get it back up and running in no time, with HVAC techs on site at sunrise to get it remedied.
The front desk attendant, Maria, was particularly helpful, kind, and kept her cool during all of this. We so appreciated her level of professionalism.
We can’t wait to come back! Thank you, MOLLIE team, for a wonderful Aspen stay as always.
Kathleen Branthover · 5/5 Mollie Aspen has so many positives. Beautifully curated interior spaces, awesome location - close enough to walk to downtown Aspen, but far enough away to be outside of the hustle and bustle - free transportation to and from Aspen airport. The basic room on the lower level is snug, would be too snug if visiting in the winter with my ski gear, especially for two people, but I’m not complaining because it’s summer. View from the rooftop is awesome!
