The place

Downtown Tulsa, on the site of the former Police Courts Building at 600 Civic Center Plaza, directly adjacent to the Arvest Convention Center and a block from the BOK Center.

The concept

A proposed $390 million new-build hotel intended to connect directly to Tulsa's Arvest Convention Center, addressing a room shortage the city says cost it 32 conventions during the 2024–25 fiscal year alone. Dallas-based Matthews Hospitality — developer of the Omni Dallas Convention Center Hotel, and currently building comparable convention hotels in Fort Lauderdale and Savannah — was formally selected in October 2025 after a competitive RFP process. Groundbreaking is targeted for 2026 and opening for 2029, but no hotel brand, operator or star rating has been announced.
