Waikiki, near the Ala Wai Yacht Harbor.
A genuine new-build rather than a conversion, delivered in two phases: the 'Ewa Tower opened in summer 2016, and the Diamond Head Tower completed the resort in October 2018.

Our family had an unforgettable stay at the Ritz-Carlton Waikīkī Residences! The customer service was truly phenomenal from start to finish. Every employee we encountered was warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Super clean, beautiful amenities, great location, and delicious food.
Traveling with children who have food allergies can be stressful, but the staff took incredible care of us and handled every concern with such thoughtfulness and attention to detail. A special thank you to Ljubica, who was the absolute sweetest and made sure our kids were safe by carefully communicating with the kitchen staff. Her kindness and genuine care meant so much to our family. She also provided us with the best local recommendations! Thank you, Ljubica!
The bartenders, especially Talane, made outstanding drinks, and every server we had was exceptional. This has officially become our go-to place in Waikīkī because of all the amazing staff and care they provided, and we can't wait to come back. We highly recommend the Ritz-Carlton Waikīkī Residences to anyone looking for an unforgettable stay!
The Ritz-Carlton Residences Waikiki is an absolute 10/10 for us. We spent one week there and would come back anytime without hesitation.
The service was outstanding from the first to the last moment — incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Every single staff member contributed to making us feel genuinely comfortable and well taken care of.
The rooms with balconies are modern, spotless, and exceptionally spacious. The bathroom was huge and featured a bathtub, double sinks, and a Japanese heated toilet seat. The Diptyque amenities in my favorite scent were another huge plus. There was also a washing machine, dryer, and even laundry detergent available directly in the room. Absolutely nothing was missing. And if there had been anything we needed, we were clearly informed that we could contact the front desk anytime.
We also loved the reusable water bottles provided as a welcome goodie.
The pools are beautiful, large, clean, and never overcrowded. The overall atmosphere throughout the hotel is calm and relaxing. You cannot hear the street noise, and the rooms are not noisy at all — perfect for unwinding.
The location is also ideal: plenty of shops are nearby, and the beach is less than a 10-minute walk away. The ocean view from the rooms was beautiful. During our stay on Oahu, we also stayed at a beachfront hotel, and we would still choose the Ritz-Carlton every single time.
The valet parking was also perfectly organized. At $60 it is not cheap, but that is very common in the US and especially in Hawaii. Everything worked quickly, smoothly, and reliably, and the valet staff were extremely friendly and accommodating as well.
For us, this is one of the very few hotels in Hawaii that truly deserves its five-star rating. We also really appreciated that there are no additional resort fees, which is quite rare in Hawaii.
Honestly, we cannot think of a single thing that could be improved. Absolute recommendation!
Truly one of the best Ritz Carlton properties I've stayed at.
From the moment I got off my car at check-in, to the moment I checked out, everything was perfect and seamless. The check-in process was warm and welcoming, and the friendliness of all employees is immediately evident.
The room was very well appointed, with beautiful amenities and finishes. The bed was extremely comfy!
The pool was great, had a beautiful view of the city and beach, and the food was great as well. The same can be said for in-room dining meals, they were all fantastic!
The location of the hotel is great as well. It's quiet, but only a 5 minute walk to the main streets of Waikiki Beach.
Can't wait for my next visit to this property :)
Great experience overall. Would recommend exploring the other islands rather than the Waikīkī area. Perhaps consider staying here 1-2 days if you fly into Honolulu. Also, the in-room washer and dryer (and complimentary laundry detergent) was a surprise and delight.
OMG! We loved our stay! This property is amazing. The staff makes you feel like Royals treating you so well and addressing your needs as if they were their absolute priority. Everyone was fantastic- reception, concierge desk, pool guys, and the most special shoutout to our wonderful Housekeeping Team of the 17th floor (1703). My husband is a Marriott Platinum Elite member and we do travel a lot. This level of service is rare. I even feel a little greedy sharing this gem. Thank you for a wonderful vacation and your incredible service and hospitality, Ritz Carlton Residences! We will be back soon! ❤️
