The concept A complete repositioning rather than a simple renovation: the mid-scale Waikiki Parc Hotel (297 studios) closed for a $60 million transformation and reopened with fewer, larger rooms under an entirely new name and luxury tier.
Dining & wellness Dining developed in the same tradition as its sister property, Halekulani.
Our take A textbook case of a hotel group trading room count for rate — Halekulani effectively created a smaller, pricier version of its own overflow property.

Outstanding property - quite new and fantastic location by the beach. Very courteous staff and the front desk / manager are so nice. The property is so clean and they pay attention to all details. Umi restaurant in the hotel is very nice and they have amazing breakfast. And Halekulani bakery next door is superb! Overall a terrific place and it is so reasonably priced for its quality. This was our second time here and I am sure there will be many more visits in the future!
Fantastic place to stay! The staff goes over the top to serve ! The valet group is so nice and accommodating, offering boogie boards, towels for the beach upon arrival. The best part, is that they let you use the shower if you have a late flight back to the mainland, you can go to the beach, enjoy the day while the valet watches your luggage, come back to the hotel for a shower and then off to the airport refreshed. I love this place, so nice, I believe it is Japanese owned and they really show out on service and quality. The pool is so nice and relaxing when you wanna get away from the Waikiki crowds. The gym has everything you need. Clean to a T and the Toto toilets were awesome.
We stayed twice (3 day stays) this past month. Excellent hotel and a reasonable value for this amazing location and fantastic ocean views. They also give you a free reusable water bottle to cut back on plastic. We included a free breakfast at their on site upscale restaurant- UMI. The hostess Abby was SO delightful, as were the servers like Katie.
We had some complexity with our first stay room reservation and Eric at the front seat was awesome fixing everything.
The rooms are very nice, so clean, and comfortable beds. The housekeeper staff is friendly as are the bellman. Guests parked for free during the day - which we did daily with family in town coming over to visit us. We walked to everything during all our stays. Their beach is not the best, but you just need to walk for a few minutes to get to other great beaches like the Sheridan or Royal Hawaiian.
One thing to be mindful of is that Uber and Lyft seem to have trouble finding this place for pick ups, so be sure to set the pin correctly or be able to contact your driver if needed.
Overall, it’s not overly fancy, but it’s beautiful and a great place to stay.

I am very skeptical about the Waikiki area hotels based on reviews. I took a chance on Halepuna because the last low rated reviews were far enough away from my vacation.
There was NOTHING wrong with my stay. Everyone was so kind and filled with Aloha. At the end of my stay the room attendant for the floor I was on was a Tita who was so kind and talked to us for quite some time before we left; I believe her name was Tita Eve. The front desk staff at check in and check out were amazing! The in and out parking privileges were great and the overall area was really nice to be the sister facility to Halekulani. I look forward to staying here again!
What's near: 2- ABC Stores, Coffee shops including one on site, Honolulu Cookie Company, Restaurant Chains and a Roy's Hawai'i as well as the Waikiki Strip with shops like Macy's, Dior, and Tiffany & Co.
Perks: Booking through a 3rd party can provide incentives
Cons: I have zero complaints!
Mahalo for being so kind to a Hawaiian girl from the diaspora! We miss home ans most of all this is why... your customer service and upkeep of the hotel was 5 stars in my book! Alllooohhaaa!
Felt like a 3 star hotel. Smelt of sewage. Some staff very friendly, others not so much. Most resorts gift you beach bag and amenities but this one doesn’t - you have to request certain things. The hot tub was great but the pool is so shallow. Not allowed to use the other neighbouring sister hotels pool or beach access. Sea view contaminated by buildings. Location close to honolulu centre so was a positive. Toiletries smelt amazing.
