Moxy San Jose Downtown is a confirmed 272-room, 19-story hotel planned for 8 North Almaden Boulevard, next to the historic Hotel De Anza. Approved by San Jose City Council in 2020 and cleared of legal challenges by 2022, the project had no confirmed construction start as of a February 2025 city hearing.

The concept
Developer KT Urban's 19-story Moxy-branded hotel was approved by San Jose City Council on January 14, 2020. A preservation group's legal challenges to the approval were rejected by the courts in 2022, and a further appeal was refused the same year, clearing the project's remaining legal hurdles. As of a February 2025 city hearing, no construction start or opening date had been publicly confirmed.
