Little National Newcastle

Little National Newcastle, a 181-room harbourfront hotel developed by DOMA Group and designed by Bates Smart with Luchetti Krelle interiors, opened on 15 April 2024 on Honeysuckle Drive. Trade press described it as the city's third five-star hotel and its largest by room count, joining Crystalbrook Kingsley and QT Newcastle in the market.

The concept

DOMA Group's third Little National property, following Canberra and Sydney, is a genuine new-build tower rather than a conversion, designed by architect Bates Smart with interiors by Luchetti Krelle in the brand's compact, design-led "smart luxury" style. At opening, trade press framed it as Newcastle's third five-star hotel, joining Crystalbrook Kingsley and QT Newcastle, and as the city's highest room count at 181 keys. The hotel includes a 24-hour wellness centre fitted with Technogym equipment and a lounge and library area for guests.

Dining & wellness

Monte, a light-filled ground-floor café and all-day dining venue, serves a coastal-inspired brunch menu of baked goods, coffee and casual dishes; guests also have direct access to a lounge bar within the hotel's library space.
