Hyatt Regency Niagara Falls Fallsview opened on April 1, 2026, when the 611-room Embassy Suites Niagara Falls Fallsview changed brand. Hyatt calls it its first hotel in Niagara Falls and the second Hyatt Regency in Ontario. It joins the Classics Portfolio inside World of Hyatt.
The tower has stood in the Fallsview skyline for decades.
The hotel is in the Fallsview district on the Canadian side, and describes itself as the closest Canadian hotel to the Horseshoe Falls. Toronto and Buffalo are both a short drive away, and the main highways and border crossings are close.
Guests reach the falls directly through the Niagara Parks Incline Railway.
The concept
The Embassy Suites version of this building was an all-suite hotel. The Hyatt conversion keeps the 611 rooms and suites over 42 floors but renovates them with contemporary furnishings and lighting, a large flat-screen television, a Nespresso machine, a beverage station and a mini fridge. Suites have separate living and sleeping areas, and floor-to-ceiling windows frame the view of the Horseshoe and American Falls. A travel trade report quotes the repositioning as 'a full repositioning', not a refresh.
Independent reports are less settled. A points blog described the rooms as tired before the change, one hotel-loyalty site found the property dated for the Regency brand, and a June 2026 guest review mentioned renovation work still going on during the transition. Hyatt has not published a schedule for the remaining work.
The Fallsview Group, a privately owned Canadian hospitality company with eight hotels, is quoted in Hyatt's announcement by vice president Anthony Menechella. The release does not name the owner.
Dining & wellness
Two restaurants operate in the building: STK Steakhouse Fallsview and TGI Fridays. Restaurants and bars offer views of the falls and handcrafted cocktails.
The heated indoor pool and the fitness centre are the main leisure facilities. There are laundry facilities, a business centre and concierge services. For groups, the hotel has more than 20,000 square feet of meeting and banquet space, which is why conferences feature in its positioning alongside leisure travel.
