The place
Hyatt House occupies the extended-stay half of a new seven-storey building on Longwood Road South inside McMaster Innovation Park, roughly two kilometres from McMaster University's main campus and directly across from the Park's Atrium building.
The concept
Hyatt House Hamilton McMaster Innovation Park pairs with Hyatt Place in the same 162-key building — Sigma Group and Kothari Group's answer to a gap MIP itself had identified: nowhere on campus for the researchers, visiting academics and project teams who need to stay for weeks rather than nights. Its 84 suites come with full kitchens, aimed at exactly that longer-stay, work-from-the-suite audience. The project is the first hotel built inside McMaster Innovation Park, and both the university and the Park's management have pitched it as an extension of the campus's research infrastructure. McMaster president Susan Tighe called the building "more than a building — it's a catalyst for connection," a framing that fits Hyatt House's extended-stay format better than it fits a conventional hotel stay.
Dining & wellness
Guests share the building's casual dining lounge with bar and restaurant, an indoor saltwater pool, a 24-hour fitness centre, guest laundry and flexible meeting space (300–2,800 sq ft) with the adjoining Hyatt Place; in-suite kitchens cover day-to-day cooking for longer stays.
