Hyatt House Fresno / Campus Pointe opened in mid-December 2025, with a community celebration on 10 December. It has 138 rooms in a four-story, 91,433-square-foot building at the northwest corner of Shaw and Chestnut avenues, across from the Save Mart Center. It is the last element of the Campus Pointe master plan.
The hotel stands at Campus Pointe, off Highway 168, beside Fresno State and facing the Save Mart Center, where the university's basketball games and touring concerts take place. The plan drew on recommendations from a group led by Fresno State professor Jim Aldridge. An empty lot next door is meant for offices and more restaurants.
The concept
The master developer is Lance-Kashian & Co., and Campus Pointe was approved more than twenty years ago. It was built in phases: student housing, housing for workers and seniors, entertainment, then the hotel. Groundbreaking took place on 1 September 2023 and construction was expected to last 24 months. An earlier projection pointed to October 2025, so the opening slipped by about two months.
Hyatt House is the brand's extended-stay line, and some rooms have full kitchens. Listings show studios, one-bedroom suites and den rooms, some accessible, with a sofa bed that raises the capacity to three in the one-bedroom units. The target guests are visiting families, conference attendees, sports fans and long stays.
Dining & wellness
H Bar is the bar and grill. A breakfast area, an outdoor pool and a fitness center complete the amenities. A conference center of 4,300 square feet seats up to 250 guests.
The hotel also offers internships tied to the hospitality program of Fresno State's Craig School of Business, and some staff were already hired at the opening.
