The place
The Island Quarter, developer Conygar's regeneration scheme on the site of the former Boots Island Site, close to Nottingham city centre and the Nottingham & Beeston Canal.
The concept
IHG signed a management agreement with Conygar in January 2021 for a 17-storey, 223-key tower combining 155 Hotel Indigo rooms with a separate 68-suite Staybridge Suites — Nottingham's largest new hotel development in nearly two decades. Hotel Indigo's design draws on the neighbourhood's character, as is standard for the brand. No construction start or opening date has been confirmed since the original announcement; The Island Quarter's own list of completed openings does not yet include the hotel.
Dining & wellness
Planned bar and restaurant featuring locally sourced ingredients, in keeping with Hotel Indigo's neighbourhood-led format. No outlet names announced.
